7th June 2014 - History

The idea that something has a history or provenance always captures me. That was the reason I was so keen on teaching the dorset button despite it being a tedious craft to make. I can imagine all these English making the buttons silently at home in their 18th century clothing. I am intrigued it has a history, a past and a tradition.

3rd June 2014 - Moomin

These little creatures are so cute! I love how much they look like hippos and the silly adventures they have. It has become a big, big thing in Japan even though they were created by Finnish author and illustrator Tove Jansson.
